Mason Hunter Artz, age 17 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Mason was born January 30, 2006 and was currently enrolled at Campbell County High School. He was an accomplished PS5 gamer, loved to fish with his Dad, and enjoyed being in the outdoors, and riding in the mountains. Preceded in death by Mother, Elizabeth Dabney, Sister, Karleigh Artz, Grandmother, Loretta Hill, Grandfather, Billy Ray Minton, Great-Grandparents, Clyde and Mary Dabney, Great-Grandfather, Barshall Artz, and Cousin, Jason Grimm.
Survivors: Loving Father, Scott Artz and Fiance’, Hillary Shullaw; Sisters, Alexis Huckaby and Hannah Huckaby; Grandfather, Rick Dabney; Special Great-Aunt, Gail Brnich; Numerous other Aunts, Uncles, special relatives and friends.
The Family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Nurses Hannah and Mason, Social Worker, Danielle, and all of staff of for their care and concern during Mason’s time at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday before funeral services. A private family interment will be held at Powell Valley Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mason Hunter Artz.
