Mason Thomas Gilbert

When the unimaginable happens, we are brought back to our knees at the foot of the cross. I cannot fathom your pain though I feel the shock having known Mason in class, in the youth group, retreats, soccer vs my son, Ryan's Pawling team and lastly on his last visit to the church on holiday from school. He was as much a blessing as you, Shireen and Percy as well to me and our family. All of my memories of Mason and you folks are joyful ones. I will choose to recall them often and especially in my prayer time. May the peace if Christ dwell in your hearts as you walk through this trial together.

mason and i met during our senior year at binghamton university. we were fast friends and i will never ever forget the time we spent with each other. he was so special to me, and made me feel even more special. this world lost a wonderful gem and the earth will sparkle much less. i miss you and i love you mason!!!!! simp squad 4ever <3

May Mason rest in peace. Our daughter, Erin, went to school with Mason, and as a very young child they were friends. We remember the young boy who loved learning and later, who shared a passion for F1. Although we no longer live in NY, we send our blessings and condolences to the entire family. We have made a donation to NAMI Mid-Hudson in memory of Mason.

Shireen, Percy & Shelley - Keith, Dylan, Taylor & I are heartbroken to learn of Mason´s passing. Though we only knew him for one chapter of his life when he was Taylor´s classmate at Arlington, those memories are of a polite, smart and talented young man who was always kind and always had a smile on his face. I can´t imagine the loss you are feeling. Unfortunately Taylor lives in Chicago and we are away for the weekend, so we will not make it to his services. But please know our thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope that you can lean into God at this time and know that his pain is over. Mason and I were good friends as kids. We may have grown apart as we grew up, but he will always remain an important part of my childhood. I will always cherish the memories of us playing man hunt, or dodgeball, or just hanging out being goofy kids together. Rest easy my friend.
