Mathias Salzsieder Obituary
Matt held various masonry construction jobs including working for Black Cat Chimney Builders prior to obtaining his real estate license in 1975. He was a member and past president of the Oshkosh Board of REALTORS while operating Matt Salzsieder Realty for many years.
Matt was an avid outdoorsman and member of the Otter Street Fishing Club as well life-long member of the YMCA. He was also active in many local clubs including Hank's Club, Midnight Club, and Lakeshore Club. Matt loved to travel and frequently visited his second home in Florida.
Matt is survived by his sons Tim (Sue); Steve (Kari) and seven grandchildren; Alexis, Isaiah, Jacob, Jordan, Morgan, Luke, Abigail and two great-grandchildren: Nolan and Amelia. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Salzsieder.
In addition to his parents, Matt is preceded in death by his elder brothers, Edward (Karen) and Norbert Salzsieder. Matt and his two older brothers were a fun-loving bunch that left their mark on Oshkosh while growing up.
A service for Matt will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 3PM. A time of visitation will be held from 1:30PM until the time of service.
The family would like to especially thank the staff of Lakeshore Manor along with the Preceptor Home Health & Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to establish a local memorial in honor of Matt.
