Matthew "Matt" Bruggman
Wenatchee, WA
Matthew "Matt" Bruggman passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on July 8, 2024. Matt was well known as the owner of Plumb Perfect, but he would argue his greatest titles were Husband, Father, and Papa. He was a man of great faith who's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Matt loved serving the Wenatchee Valley and being involved in multiple organizations and groups. There was no such thing as a stranger to him. He had a passion for helping others and making every single person he came in contact with feel important and loved. He enjoyed his time at the local race track on Saturday night and would look forward to Sundays for church and Nascar. He would often say racing ran in his veins. He loved his Bruggman poker nights, weekends spent at swim meets with his family or any other events that involved being surrounded by family and friends. We will miss him dearly but rejoice in the fact that he is Home with his Heavenly Father, pain free and at peace.
He is survived by his wife, Darcy, of 35 years; children: Cameron (Paytin), Kelsey (Maxx), Hannah (Daniel); and grandchildren: Finley, Quinn, Nakai, Krue and one on the way; his parents: Richard and Sharron Bruggman; mother-in-law, Claudine Bertrand; and his brother, Doug (Alexis); nephew, Koby; and niece, Shae.
On behalf of our family, we want to thank every single person who has shown love, support and prayed. A special thanks to our heaven sent hospice team, Dr. McCormick, Barb, Edgar and all of the other doctors and nurses we have come in contact with throughout this battle.

I first met Matt in late summer of 1984 at WSU Fire Department. He and I worked together at the department for 3 years before moving out and living together with roommate Gary Taylor. It was an amazing time in my life getting to meet Matt and his wife to be Darcy. He taught me how to snow ski. He introduced me to his parents. He was simply a super kind man. We did not keep up after we both left school. I reconnect with Matt a couple of years ago with his plumbing business and work my company was about to start in the Valley. It was refreshing to hear Matt speak in that familiar voice. Soft, kind and full of heart. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to Darcy and his children, grandchildren and parents. God Speed friend until we meet some day with our Heavenly Father.

I first met Matt when I joined BNI. He shook my hand and gave me a big smile. I knew then that we would become good friends. His love for others showed in all he did for the community and the bond he showed with his family. Matt will be greatly missed, but truly he is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. Our prayers are with the family.
