Copfer, Matthew "Matt" Kent age 57 of Pasadena, Maryland formerly of Tipp City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday June 2, 2024. Matt was born November 29, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio to David P. and Rebecca {Keish} Copfer Sr. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his children; Joshua (Brandy) Copfer and Morgan Copfer of Pasadena, Maryland and siblings; David P. Copfer Jr. and Kimberly Focht of Tipp City, Ohio. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Mason and Madison Copfer and Hayden and Chase Barclay.
Matt was raised in Tipp City, Ohio and graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1985. Matt began working at Piedmont Airlines right after high school. Through his 39 years with the airlines, Matt spent some time in Pennsylvania, but the majority was spent in Maryland with American Airlines at Reagan International Airport. Matt's children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He absolutely loved attending every school and sporting event that his grandchildren were involved in. He was their biggest fan and loudest cheerleader. Some of Matt's favorite pass times were; working in his yard, sitting on his deck with his dogs, and watching his hummingbirds. Matt will be remembered for his love for The Ohio State Buckeyes, and raising his kids and grandkids to love them just as much as he did! But most of all, he will be remembered as an amazing father, brother, son, uncle, and friend!
A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM until time of service at 12:30 PM, Saturday June 8, 2024 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
