In memory of
Ali Grace Rapetti
December 27, 2017
I learned of Matt's passing way too late, too late to say goodbye in a formal sense. I feel like I will be saying goodbye everyday, and on better days in the future, hopefully nothing but "thank yous" for the light, music, depth, and richness he brought to my life. I don't know how to cope. It is a struggle. The holidays aren't the holidays. I think the only consolation is something Matt said to me after we broke up: "A huge revelation this morning, Ali.... Don't worry about us- our relationship will always be strong, we have music to keep us together!" I like to think when I listen to his incredible music, we are still linked. May his family and friends find connection and perhaps a modicum of consolation in his gorgeous music. Sending my unwavering love to Chad, Jenny, Andrew. I will always be incredibly sorry...and grateful for getting to know you all, and for the most intense and beautiful love I have ever known.

Matt was a great teacher whose students were very fond of him. I was lucky enough to see him perform with the faculty band at Alvirne. He was a gifted musician. He will be missed by all, as he touched a lot of lives. May he rest in peace.

My daughter Emma had the pleasure of having Mr. Crosson as her English teacher. He was the main reason she decided to pursue a career in education. This year she was his teacher aid and she will miss seeing him every day. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, students and co-workers.

I first met Professor Crosson, (Matt) when I was a freshman at Nashua Community College. I was in my late forties at the time and found him to quickly becoming my favorite Professor. He always carried himself with respect and a mischievous twinkle of a fun loving trouble-maker in his eyes. Only the specialist of souls carry that twinkle in my opinion. My deepest condolences to the whole family for the loss of someone so gifted and special. God Bless!

Matt Crosson wrote, "The joy I find in teaching is a joy I have never experienced in any other profession. Helping kids grasp concepts and stretch themselves beyond their own limitations is a privilege and honor that I do not take lightly."
I worked with Mr. Crosson and I valued and respected him. In these early years of teaching, I learned so much from him and those things will never go away. Matt loved teaching and was a master teacher.
I am saddened by his death and he will be missed every day at Alvirne High School.

I am so sorry for your loss,
Mr.Crosson was an amazing man, and helped me more then he understood. Every student who had him was beyond lucky. His charm and way he taught his class was fun and exciting and never a dull moment with him. I'm so thankful to have been able to have so many memories with him, even videos!

Matt was my colleague and friend through his years at Central High School. He was a kind man with wonderful sense of humor and extraordinary patience. He also loved to "poke" people on facebook long after it stopped be popular - which made me crack up in laughter so very often.
Matt's passing saddens me greatly and my heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with his family and friends who grieve this inconceivable loss.
I believe strongly that we are his legacy and should honor his memory by being kind and present with those we come in contact, savor the beauty and power of words, and live our lives with authenticity and honesty. I know that I will strive to do that in honor of you, Matt Crosson; friend, colleague and James Building neighbor.

Matt was my first "best friend" back in my Franklin School days. I'll never forget how sad I was when he moved away from Melrose. It's been great to reconnect on Facebook and see that we both ended up as high school teachers. I wish we had been able to reconnect in person.
My sincere condolences to Andrew, Chad and the rest of the Crosson Family.
