It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Matthew "Matt" Dwight Foutch on June 25,2025, at the age of 41 in North
Ogden, Utah.
Matt was born on December 15, 1983 in Galesburg, IL to his parents Dwight and Pamela Foutch.
Matt married Amanda Kornegay in Abingdon, IL on December 27,2006 and had 3 wonderful sons together.
Matt lived a life full of kindness, faith, and strength, He enjoyed helping others and his sense of humor made everyone around him laugh. He was smart and generous and had a special heart for gift giving.
Matt attended school in Abingdon, graduating as a proud Commando in 2002. He went on to attend Hamilton Technical Institute in Davenport, IA graduating with perfect attendance and High honors with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
Matt worked his way to a management position in the field of solar energy.
Matt was so proud of his family and especially loved supporting and cheering his boys on in school, sports, music, and all of their many activities.
Matt enjoyed golf, sports, grilling and using his smoker and loved teasing everyone about his homemade rub with a secret ingredient. He loved cheering on his sports teams including The Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, The University of Illinois Fighting Illini, and many more.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda and 3 boys Timothy (TJ), Ethan, and Emmett all of North
Ogden, UT His parents Dwight and Pam Foutch of Abingdon, IL. One brother, Chris (Mary) Foutch of Abingdon, IL. Two nephews Andrew and Alex Foutch of Abingdon, IL, as well as a father-in-law, 3 brothers in law, a sister-in-law, 3 nephews, 2 nieces and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents and 2 cousins Cory Lodwick and Timmy Schisler.
Matt's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, his whit and sarcasm will echo in our laughter, and his love will continue to bind us together.
Let us remember, cherish, and celebrate the loving and adventurous soul that was Matt Foutch.
A cremation will be accorded.
