Matthew Guthrie, age 69, of Morganton, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Jasper, GA. Matthew was born December 25, 1956, in Charleston, WV to Boddridge and Betty Guthrie.
Matthew was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Guthrie; and parents, Boddridge & Betty Guthrie.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Guthrie; brother, Joe Guthrie; brother, Wayne Guthrie; brother, Clint Guthrie; brother, Mark Guthrie; sister, Jenny Guthrie; sister, Tessie Guthrie; sister Diane Parker; and brother, Clifford Guthrie.
Graveside Service, on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bryon Hannah, Develle Patterson, Wesley Patterson, and Jamie Gilland.
