Matthew Habermas Obituary
Matt faithfully served the city of Goldsboro as a corporal with the Goldsboro Police Department. He was dedicated to his work and protecting the people of Goldsboro. When not at work, Matt could usually be found hanging out with his boys, fishing, or doing whatever they wanted.
For Matt, there was no greater blessing than his two boys, Shane and Hunter. The love he had for them knew no bounds and he cherished every moment spent with them. Matt will always be remembered as a loving son, father, boyfriend, and friend.
A memorial service to celebrate Matt's life will be held on Friday July 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his sons, Shane Habermas and Hunter Habermas; life-partner, Megan Doxsie; and sister, Deborah Mohr and husband, Donald. Matt is also survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County 1401 Royall Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to an animal charity of your choice in memory of Matt.
