In Loving Memory of Matthew Evan Hawthorne
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Evan Hawthorne (51), who left us far too soon. Born on November 17, 1973, Matt grew up and lived his whole life on Cirrus Rd., where he made lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. Proud graduate of Sachem High School (Class of ‘91).
Known for his sharp wit and infectious sense of humor, Matt had a way of making everyone around him laugh, even in the toughest of times. Whether he was cracking a joke, debating the latest sports or political headlines, or sharing a story, his presence brought warmth and joy to those who knew him. A devoted fan of the New York Mets and the New York Islanders, he experienced the highs and lows of fandom with unwavering loyalty and passion.
He is survived by his mother Fran; father Mark Hawthorne Sr. (AZ); his brother Mark, and his wife Jenn; his sister, Aimee, and her husband Ben; his dear nephews Ben and Andrew; beloved niece Hope; cherished aunts, uncle, cousins and many dear close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
