Matthew Lindsay

Matthew Christopher Lindsay, lovingly known as Matt, entered into eternal rest at the age of 37 on Christmas morning, December 25, 2025, at AtlantiCare Medical Center–Mainland Campus in Galloway, New Jersey.

Matt was the devoted fiancé of Nicole Marie Garcia. Together they raised a handsome son along with Matt's three beautiful daughters from a previous relationship. He was the beloved son of Teresa Leadbetter and the late Kevin Lindsay. He, along with his parents and siblings, were faithful member of New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Vineland.

Matt developed a passion for cooking and proudly followed in his father's footsteps in becoming a chef. Throughout his career, he worked at Hard Rock Café, Sugar Factory, and LandShark Bar & Grill in Atlantic City. It was while working at Hard Rock Café that he met and fell deeply in love with Nicole.

Though he was quiet, those who knew him best were blessed with his laughter and love. To know Matt was to love Matt. His charisma and warmth brought love and light to everyone he met. Above all, Matt's love for his fiancé and children was unmistakable. His world revolved around them.

Matt's memory will forever be cherished by the love of his life, Nicole Garcia; their four beautiful children, Angelle, Jiannah, Skylynn, and Matthew Jr.; his devoted mother, Teresa Lindsay; his siblings, Nikki, Anthony, Andre, and Brianna; his grandson, Zy'mir; his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Jane Clark and Dena Callison; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his beloved father, Kevin Lindsay, and his paternal grandfather, Samuel Clark.
