Matthew R. McCutcheon, 38, of Rose Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born December 11, 1987, in Wichita, Kansas, to Michael and Marie McCutcheon.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Michael and Marie McCutcheon of Mulvane; his sister, Melissa (A.J.) Fritschen of Wichita; his beloved nieces and nephew, Gracie, Gabby, and JJ, whom he loved dearly and treasured being an uncle too; his dog, Asher; and his cats, Yoshi and Daisy.
Matthew enjoyed walking more than 10,000+ steps a day with Asher, usually with a ball in his mouth, ready to retrieve it after countless throws along the way. He played a wide variety of video and computer games throughout his life and enjoyed watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs (well… maybe not this season). He also loved bowling and spent many hours enjoying the game over the years.
Matthew was deeply loved and will forever remain in our hearts.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
