Matthew Niemeyer

I went to ASU with Matt and we met at Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. I was a Little Sister with the SigEps. I was catching up with an Alumni and discovered Matt just passed. I'm so sorry to hear this. As we get older we reflect back in our lives and wonder what has happened to the people who were important to us and will always be a big part of our life journey, our life story. We wonder, did they get married and have children, what careers did they have... are they happy? As I looked into 4 guys who were important to me in my early 20's, I found out 2 of them have passed. Too young, their stories are so short. I'm glad to hear Matt fell in love and had children. That he traveled and loved his work! That makes me happy. He was disciplined in college, but he had fun too. I have fond memories of my college years and Matt was an important part of them! I wish you all comfort in your memories and your love for him in your hearts! So sorry for your loss! Blessings, Connie

I liked and respected Matt as a reporter and then as a colleague at USTR. Smart, funny, action oriented. Such a terrible loss, especially for his family. He will be missed.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our neighbor, Matt. He was an all around great guy who always showed kindness, hospitality, and humility. He will truly be missed. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.
