Matt has been my closest friend from the time of our youth. As we have grown and aged, he has always retained his most defining characteristics, a sense of humility and a deep, authentic compassion. In addition, Matt was very intelligent, curious and mischievous. I am greatly saddened by his unexpected passing and will always cherish our friendship.
