Matthew David Pineault

Matthew D. Pineault, age 55, passed away after a short illness on February 9, 2026. Born in 1970, Matthew was the youngest of three children of Janet and Gerald Pineault.

A lifelong resident of Foxborough until recently, Matthew was a strong advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, an amateur ham radio and weather enthusiast, and a public safety volunteer. He frequently walked from his apartment at Carl Anon Court to the Town Center, where he was well known to local businesses, public safety personnel, and other town employees and residents who participated in public events. Matthew also valued time with family, many of whom live in Foxboro or nearby towns.

Matthew is survived by his father Jerry, now of Walpole, his sister Melissa of Foxboro, his brother Michael and his sister-in-law Heather, his nieces and their spouses and significant others, a great-nephew, and several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and other friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, February 28, from 11 AM to 1 PM, at Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held at the end of visiting hours at the same location, followed by interment at Rock Hill Cemetery and then a reception at Conrad's Restaurant at 121 Main Street in Foxboro.
