Matthew Charles Siecinski, age 96, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 in Blairsville, Georgia. He was born to the late Stanley James and Margaret (Sarnecki) Siecinski on May 24, 1927 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Matthew served in the US Coast Guard during WWII for 2 years stationed on Gardner Island in the South Pacific as a LORAN radio operator. He returned from military service and went on to work in law enforcement as a Detective specializing as a Fingerprint Expert for over thirty years with the Matchem Police Dept in New Jersey. He loved to golf in his free time and loved music, so much that he could just sit and listen to music for hours.
He is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Gottschalk); son, James Siecinski; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Jan Siecinski; and stepson, Rick Hand.
Private services will be announced by family.
