Matthew Cole Simon, 18 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, after brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Matthew was a proud 2025 graduate of Timber Creek High School and a dedicated member of the TCHS Falcon band, where he built many friendships. His strength, perseverance, and joyful spirit inspired everyone who knew him.
Most importantly, Matthew was a devoted Christian whose faith never wavered. Even in the midst of hardship, he leaned on God and reflected Christ's love through his kindness, humility and compassion.
He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Brian and Amy Simon; Sister, Madison Simon; Maternal Grandparents, Paul and Beverly Herb; Paternal Grandparents, Jim and Marsha Simon.
He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and numerous friends whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather, Kevin Mullins; Aunt, Amy Lynn Simon; Maternal Great-Grandparents Al and Nell Ragan; Paternal Great-Grandparents A.E. and Pat Mathews
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 12:30 pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church in North Richland Hills, Texas
Matthew's parents would also like to thank all who prayed for and supported Matthew throughout his journey. Special thanks to Dr David Gray and Dr Kelly Vallance both with Cook Children's Hospital. Thank you both for everything you did for Matthew.
