Matthew Alfred Stanisch, 33, of Sheboygan, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Sheboygan Falls. Although he had struggled mightily putting up the good fight, in the end he succumbed to his illness, then struggled no more.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: there shall be NO more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away." Revelations 21:4
Matt was born on February 16, 1988, to Robert and Michelle (Kahle) Stanisch in Milwaukee. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 2006, then attended Cardinal Stritch University. He was most recently employed at Kohler Co.
Matt was an active member of Crossroads Community Church. He was a friend to many; always fun loving, adventurous, hardworking, and bringing light to any room with his smile. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, and future stepchildren. He tried to conduct his life with sincerity, honesty and integrity in his efforts to follow in the footsteps of his Savior and be a role model to many. Matt was a sweet and sensitive soul, who will be dearly missed.
Matt is survived by his mother, Michelle Stanisch; brothers, Ben (Mary) Stanisch, Tony (Sara) Stanisch; fiancé, Carol Suelflow and her children, Hannah and Holly; nieces and nephews, Breanna, Sophia, Isaiah, Elijah, and Isabella Stanisch; aunts, uncles, lifelong and newly made friends.
Matthew is preceded in death by his father, Robert Stanisch, and grandparents: Alfred and Angeline Stanisch (of Port Washington), Robert and Joyce Kahle (of Dubuque, IA).
A funeral service for Matt will be held at Crossroads Community Church (4321 County Road A, Sheboygan) on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 4:00 pm. Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 1:00 pm until the time of service. If unable to attend, all are welcome to join via livestream by visiting wenig.live/MattStanisch. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made in Matt's name to Samaritans Hand, Sheboygan County Salvation Army, or Crossroads Community Church.

My deepest sympathy. Matt worked for me in Engines when he started. He was a great employee and I wish I had more like him. I was aware of some of his struggles, and through it all he was such a great person. I am sorry to learn about his passing. The world could use more people like him.
