Maudine Parker, 85, of Pampa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her home.

Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Superintendent Mal Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Maudine was born on August 3, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to Isom and Malinda Hutchings. She attended Carver High School in Pampa and later went on to obtain her certificate in childcare from Amarillo College. On October 30, 1954, she married Alfred Parker in Pampa. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed away on June 28, 2005. 

Maudine served as the secretary of Carver PTA when her children were growing up and attending school. She worked at Community Day care for several years before going to work at ALCO. Maudine retired as a supervisor in 2000, working 20 years at ALCO. 

Maudine loved the Lord and served faithfully. She was a longtime member of Open Door Church of God in Christ where she served as Church mother, junior Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and church secretary. Maudine had a bright smile and was the rock of her family. She loved to cook and take care of her family. Maudine was always kind and would help anyone in need. She loved spoiling all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maudine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alfred Parker, Jr; four brothers, Falvin Huthings, Isom Hutchings, Jr., Delbert Hutchings, and Earnest Hutchings.

Survivors include her daughter, Schivon Parker of Pampa; six sons, Michael Parker of Pampa, Cedric Parker and wife Vernicer of Denver, Edward Parker of Amarillo, Earvin Parker of Amarillo, Stephen Parker of Pampa, and Charles Parker of Amarillo; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials can be sent to Open Door Church of God in Christ Church, 402 Oklahoma, Pampa, Texas 79065.
