Maureen Addonizio

Maureen Kennedy Addonizio, 81, of South Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2024 with her beloved husband, Frank, by her side.

Maureen was born on July 19th, 1942 to Michael and Annie Kennedy in Galway, Ireland. She grew up in a thatched roof house in the countryside of Rossaveal along with fourteen siblings.

In one of her first adventures, Maureen boarded a plane and moved to Boston at age 18. She bought her first home in North Reading and went on to start a family, giving birth to daughters Sheila and Lisa and son Joseph.

Maureen met Frank in 1980 and the two were married on Saint Patrick's Day, 1986. They later gave birth to son, Michael. Maureen and Frank were inseparable and shared many adventures across states and countries. They ultimately ended up on the oceanside of Florida.

Maureen was predeceased by her father Michael Kennedy, mother Annie Kennedy, and grandson James Galante.

She is survived by husband Frank Addonizio, daughter Sheila Short and husband Kevin, daughter Lisa Galante and husband James, son Joseph Grimmo and partner Donna, son Michael Addonizio and wife Marina, stepson Frank Addonizio and partner Roshan, grandchildren Nicole Lopes and husband Danny, Kevin Ryan Short, Dahlia Galante, Julius Galante, Oscar Galante, Thea Addonizio, Evelina Addonizio, Erin Grimmo, Shea Grimmo, and great grandchildren Vincent Lopes, and Ozzie Lopes.

A Graveside Service will be held in Riverside Cemetery 171 Elm Street. North Reading on Saturday February 3rd at 11:00 am.
