Maureen Cornett (Bickel), age 66, of Atlantic City, passed away at Our Lady's Center for
Rehabilitation & Healthcare on November 15th, 2022.
Born December 11 th, 1956 in Massachusetts, she lived in Atlantic City, NJ and graduated
from Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, NJ. Maureen was a long-time resident of
Atlantic City and was a loving mother, partner and sister who enjoyed spending time with
children, family and friends every chance she had. Maureen had a unique ability to enjoy
her life each day and her kind spirit will be dearly missed.
Maureen is survived by her son James Cornett Jr., daughter Maura Fellman; partner
Richard Gibbons, brothers Clifford, Michael, Christopher and James Bickel; sisters
Bernadette Bickel, Theresa Martella (Bickel) and Margaret Watson (Bickel) and many
nieces and nephews. Maureen was preceded in death by her husband James Cornett,
brother Kenneth Bickel, sister Patricia Lui (Bickel) and her parents Clifford and Mary
Bickel (Brennan).
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 3 rd, 2023 at the St. James Church, Ventnor, NJ followed by an interment at the Holy
Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady's Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare in
Pleasantville, NJ.
