Maureen Ann (O'Rourke) Murphy, 90, of Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 10, 1934, in Yonkers, NY, Maureen was the daughter of the late Mary (Lesnewsky) O'Rourke of Longboat Key, FL, and Francis K. O'Rourke of New York. She was also the beloved stepdaughter of Vera (Holtje) O'Rourke.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Maureen was predeceased by husband Donald Lewis Murphy. She is survived by her children: Sean (Kathy), Donald (Paula), Tara, and Todd (Elizabeth). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Conor, Kara (Ben), Ryan, Colin (Sara), Brendan, Breege, and Cavan.
Maureen was predeceased by her siblings Ronald O'Rourke, Ronald Holtje, Jean (Holtje) Smollen, and Andrea (Holtje) O'Keefe.
Before retiring to Florida, Maureen raised her family in Orange, CT, and enjoyed a successful career as a real estate agent in Milford. She found joy in time spent with family and friends, collecting unique treasures, and traveling. She loved a good party, had a sharp sense of humor, and never missed an opportunity to celebrate life's moments-big or small. Trivia, games laughter, and fun were always at the heart of her gatherings.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Orange Center Cemetery, Orange.

Maureen's warmth, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the many, many lives she touched.
