Maureen K. "Mickey" Pellish, 64, of Pottsville, died peacefully Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.
She was born Oct. 11, 1959, in Pottsville, a daughter of late John W. and Joan M. Curran Monahan.
She was a 1977 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a 1981 graduate of Cedar Crest College, Allentown.
She was a real estate agent, having been employed by the Rushanan-DeStefano Real Estate, RE/MAX Real Estate and, most recently, Berkshire-Hathaway Home Services.
Mickey was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and the Schuylkill County Democratic Women's League.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Attorney Thomas "Tim" Pellish; three children, Jackie Hughes and her husband, Bear, Gordon, Attorney Thomas Pellish and his wife, Meredith, Pottsville, and Katie Pellish and her partner, Jordy Robles, Atlanta, Ga.; two granddaughters, Piper and Quinn Hughes, along with an expected Baby Girl Pellish soon; a sister, Patricia "Patti" Kelly, Pottsville; nephew and godson, Daniel Kelly and his wife, Maggie, Pottsville; nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with Monsignor William F. Glosser as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass Thursday. There will be no viewing from the funeral home. Interment will follow Mass in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Mickey be made to St. Patrick Bell Tower Restoration, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901; St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, 250 E. Hancock St., Saint Clair, PA 17970; or Pottsville Free Public Library, 217 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
