Maureen Q. Wolyniec, 77 of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on Jan. 7th at Griffin Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven, April 12, 1948 to the late William J. Quinlan & Ronata (Cozzi) Quinlan. Maureen is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Wolyniec of Woodbridge, and predeceased by a daughter, Amy Wolyniec D’Amato of Woodbridge. Also survived by a brother, William J. (Kimberlee) Quinlan of Branford, and a sister, Arlene Quinlan of Woodbridge, as well as two grandsons, two great grandsons, a niece and a nephew. Maureen graduated from Albertus Magnus College and worked as a director at numerous non-profit organizations including, American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of New Haven, Easter Seals Goodwill, Columbus House, and the Eugene O’Neill Theater. She also served as the Executive Director, St. Raphael’s Foundation and founded a fundraising consulting firm, Q. She was a volunteer at Schooner, Inc., In New Haven, CT. Maureen was an avid reader, loved the water and politics, and dedicated her lifetime to helping others. Calling hours will be held Saturday February 21st from 10 - 11 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A memorial service will be held at 11am in the same location. A luncheon for family and friends will be held immediately following the service. Private interment will be at St. Lawrence cemetery.
