Maurice Evan Glinsey gained his Heavenly wings Tuesday Morning March 28, 2023, surrounded by his wife, children, and family. Maurice was the 2nd child born to Arthur Glinsey and Marva Delores Johnson (Tommie Lee Glinsey Sr) in Elyria, OH on January 24, 1966. He attended Elyria High School and James Ford Road High School then went on to Allstate Hairstyling and Barber College in Cleveland, OH where he became a Licensed Registered Barber.Maurice was very much a lover of family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. His mom, brothers and sisters. Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.Maurice was joined in holy matrimony to Nicole Ann Jones on August 28, 1998, in Lorain, OH. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Marva Johnson. His loving wife Nicole Ann Glinsey and his children Lavar (Natasha) Glinsey, Jazamine Glinsey, Ariel Jones, Destiany Glinsey, Evan Glinsey, Trevhyn Maurice, Maurice Glinsey Jr, Nicholas (Catrina) Glinsey, Monica Glinsey, Maurice Jr Glinsey and Myah Glinsey. Sixteen loving grandchildren. His sisters Debra Glinsey, Diana Glinsey, Tanya (Calvin) Pearcy, Charisse (Kerry) Jefferson, Tommecca (Frank) Fryson. Brother Arthur Glinsey and Tommie Lee Glinsey Jr.Maurice was preceded in death by his grandparents Edd M and Anna Grace Johnson Sr., Ford and Gladis Glinsey, Father Arthur Glinsey Sr., Tommie L and Frances Glinsey Sr., Uncles James Glinsey, Ernest and Louise Glinsey, Edd M Johnson Jr., Aunt Carolyn (Tootsie) Johnson, brothers Eddie Ray Glinsey and Ernest Glinsey, sister Cheris Baines, Nephew Aairon King.Maurice was a strong man of faith and loved the Lord. He was known in a variety of roles, father, husband, cousin, grandpa (Papa), mentor, and great friend we all love and cherish, for the many people who have shown up to pay their respect is a testimony of his life and the lives he personally touched.He loved spending time on his cars, always giving words of encouragement to others. His favorite pastimes included listening to music, watching the game, and being on his porch with friends and family, sharing laughter and good times. He will forever impact our hearts.A celebration of life will be held on Friday April 14th, 2023, at Church on the North Coast 4125 N Leavitt Rd Lorain, OH 44053.
