In loving memory of Maurice Paul Scales, known affectionately as Moe, who passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and devotion. Born to our Mother Jackie and Father Paul, and brother to Loretta, Maurice is survived by his sister Denise, his devoted wife Marilyn, his beloved daughters Sara and Marissa, and his cherished stepchildren Tamika, Jessica, Ralph, and Joseph. He was a proud grandfather to Isaac, Jordan, Lenny, Mya, Aaron, Alexander, Ynnelis, Felix, Majesty, Legacy, Monarch, Jayden, Sophia, and Zion.For over 20 years,
Maurice served as an EMT with the FDNY, dedicating his life to helping others with unwavering commitment. His bravery was especially evident during his volunteer work in the 9/11 recovery efforts, where he earned recognition for his heroic service.
Maurice’s family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with his daughters, stepchildren, and grandchildren. Our beloved Moe’s kindness, strength, and love left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel.
