Obituary of Maurine Waldbaum
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Temple Sinai member Maurine Berkowitz Waldbaum on Sunday, February 27 at the age of 93.
Zikhronah livrakhah, May she be remembered as a blessing.
Maurine is the beloved mother of Temple Sinai member Deborah, Randy (Kerry), and Mark (Scott). She is also survived by her siblings, Dena (Frank) Schneider, Harriet (Jerry zl) Feld, and Steve (Sandy) Berkowitz. Maurine absolutely adored her grandchildren Adam, Emily, Noah, and Alexandra and her many loving nieces and nephews. Maurine's husband Louis passed in 1970, her sister Eleanor passed in 2014, and her sister Bebe Schmerman passed away in 2009.
Born and raised in Denver's Eastside, Maurine was at the center of Jewish life throughout her life. Several times she was the Sisterhood President at Beth Joseph and the Waldbaum home was host to countless Shabbat dinners, Passover Seders, and Holiday celebrations. Strong, elegant, open-minded, and never shy to share her opinions, Maurine will be greatly missed by all.
The funeral will be graveside at Mt Nebo cemetery on Monday, February 28 at 1:00pm. Livestream available on Feldman Mortuary's YouTube channel by clicking this link at service time- Feldman Mortuary - YouTube
Memorial contributions may be made to Shalom Park.
