Mavis Garner Obituary
Willie was born on May 2, 1948 in Meansville, Georgia. Her parents, Jack Ard and Tina Mathews Ard; first husband, Luther Garner; and daughter, Darlene Connally, all preceded her in death. She retired as a weaver from Dundee Mills.
She is survived by son, Jason Garner; daughters and son-in-law, Amanda Edwards and Julie and Tim Peoples; grandchildren, Dustin and Evilize Morris, Kenneth Morris, Stephen Garner, Rodney Peoples, Jr. and fiancé Meghan Maynard, Brandy Peoples, John and Autumn Peoples, Joshua and Destiny Edwards, and William Jacob and Kimberly Edwards; 14 great-grandchildren; and 7 brothers and sisters.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, located at 1891 W. McIntosh Road, is in charge of the arrangements.
