Mavis used to watch our children in church. One night while I was playing the organ she got my attention and said "Chantry stuck an eraser up his nose. When I could, she and I took him to the back trying to make him sneeze using baby powder and black pepper to no avail. He ended up having it removed surgically to the tune of $300!!!!
Mavis always said "I love you and don't you ever forget it!"
She went to bat for our children on several occasions. She was their church nanny and she loved them and they loved her!
We sang in a trio with her and she led our singing
back in the day!
We love you and will miss you, but you wouldn't come back now if you could! We'll see you soon dear friend!
