Max Bullard Obituary

Max H. Bullard, 78, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA. He was born August 26, 1930, in North Carolina the son of the late Ashley and Elizabeth (Howard) Bullard. Max was the widower of Marie (Pleasants) Bullard. He was a truck driver having retired from Consolidated Freight. Max was a member of the Dillsburg American Legion, Post #26; South Mountain V.F.W., Post # 6771; and had been the Franklintown representative for the Dillsburg Area Authority. Max also served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Max is survived by one son, James K. Bullard of North Carolina, four daughters; Sheila B. Roney of Gardners, Shirley B. Warlick of Mechanicsburg, Christine Y. Poole of Texas; and Sharon K. Blouch of Franklintown. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 7:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA with the Rev. Charles Milliken officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:30 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Golf Course Rd.

Sorry to hear about Max. I shared many a good time at Pilot with Max, John and David. I will miss him as I had just met him on my route a few years ago but had lost contact.My sympathy to the whole family. JC duMont aka Long John Silver
