Max DURALL Obituary

January 30, 1934 - May 23, 2025

Max Durall passed away, at age 91, on May 23, 2025. Max grew up in Fairfield, Idaho, near Sun Valley, where he became an accomplished skier. He was a boy scout leader and loved to spend time with his father, Harry, and fish with his mother, Beatrice. He often commented that he had the best childhood ever. He attended the University of Idaho, where he met and married his college sweetheart, Sue Durall. They had three daughters, Rene' Durall, Becky Durall (Lindsey), and Deanna Payton (Doug). Max was preceded in death by twin sons, Michael and William. In 1983, he married the love of his life and best friend, Janet Durall; who had two daughters, Karen Cameron and Susan Ramage (Randy). He has five grandchildren: Devlin, Rylee, Hunter, Daniel, and Leah.

Max was a consummate sportsman and held season tickets to the Spokane Chiefs hockey and Spokane Indians baseball teams. He started playing golf in his early twenties and was a member of the Jackson Brown golf group. He enjoyed playing golf 3 times a week until the age of 90.

Max was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who we will remember as a kind and loving man that always had a smile. In honor of his memory, there will be a service at Hazen & Jaeger on Wednesday, June 4th, at 1:00 pm.
