Max Wesley Farnsworth, 83, of West Salem, OH, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 in Medina, OH. Max was born February 5, 1943 in Medina, OH, to Louie and Emma Pauline {Foust} Farnsworth. Max graduated from Lodi High School and went into the Army just after graduation. He married Diane Scalfaro his soulmate of many years, on June 3, 1995. Together their blended family tree bloomed with love and laughter. Max drove semi's for Overnight for many years until it was purchased by UPS where he worked until he retired. He loved to tinker and work with wood. He loved sports. He never met anything he couldn't apply a coat of spray paint to. He was a member of the Lodi American Legion for many years. He loved to socialize and would talk to anybody in the grocery store, a server at lunch, just anyone available to say hi to. He loved to tease Diane who he loved with all his heart. He bought shirts for all the girls that read "I am Max's favorite." He loved Mount Union Football which also rated purple shirts for all the girls. Now that's he passed he no longer speaks Swahili which was Diane and his love language after his stroke. Max will be deeply missed by his daughters, Melissa Hooper of Olmsted Falls, Kelly (Chris) Bohl of Lafayette, Jody Remington of Fairview Park; grandchildren Jackie, Tina, Jon and Cecelia; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Tristen, Mason, Hailey, Hayden, Payton, Brooks and Brooklyn, and his sister Patricia Slick and many nieces and nephews. Max was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister and a great-grandson Noah as well as son-in-law Rodney Hooper. Friends may call Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. Celebration of Life services will follow at 3:30 p.m at the Northside Christian Church 7615 Ridge Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44218, with Pastor Eric Pruitt officiating. Burial will be later at Hillcrest Cemetery. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve hospicewr.org/ways-to-give
