Max E. Kirby Sr. peacefully passed away on November 5th at the age of 90 years. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15 th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO. Inurnment will follow in Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sni Valley Fire Department in Oak Grove.

Max was born in Springfield, Missouri. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he was married to his loving wife and mother of his children, Jeanette for over 55 years before she passed 14 years ago.

Max was encouraged by his Springfield HS Art Teacher to attend the KC Art Institute where his work was displayed.

He restored furniture and historic homes, built chandeliers and owned Kirby Painting Company for over 30 years.

Max loved to fish and fry fish for his family and friends to savor. He enjoyed traveling and made it to every state except Alaska.

After Jeanette's passing, Max found comfort and joy once again in the companionship of Emily Dahlem for 10 years in Lawrence, Kansas and most recently moved to Blue Springs, Missouri with her family.

Max was also predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rose; siblings, Jack, Emma, Frank Jr and Noma Lee.

Max will always be in the hearts of his Sons and Daughters In Law, Max and Cheryl, Greg and Kathy, Lance and Diane; Grandchildren, Daniel, Andrea (Chris), Elisa, Scott, Julia (Matt) and Jonathan (Carly); Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Logan, Forrest, Sonny, Henry, Hadlee, Owen, Jeni, Parker, Oliver, Jillian, Vincent, Dominick; Great Great Grandchild, Valencia; many nephews, nieces and friends.

Max professed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. When we all get to Heaven – What a Day of Rejoicing that will be!
