Max Herbert Pieper

Max Herbert Pieper, 93, of Burke, Virginia, died on December 7, 2025. He is survived by his sons, John Darrell Pieper (Nora Patricia) and Paul Clarence Pieper (Mary Keren Parker). A caring father and generous neighbor, he dedicated 33 years to a notable career in Washington D.C. with the U.S. Department of Transportation. He served in the U.S. Army with Company F of the 279th Infantry Regiment during the Korean War and later earned a law degree from the University of Utah. He will be interred with his wife, Diana Yvonne Pieper, née Closson, at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico. A memorial service will be held in 2026. Donations may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation.
