Maxamillian Holtz Obituary

Maxamillian N. Holtz Sr.

Oct 15, 2025

Norwalk

Max was born April 18, 1946, in Mount Savage, Maryland, to the late John T. Holtz Sr. and Jean A. (Brennan) Holtz. He retired with more than 30 years of service at Ford Motor in Lorain, Ohio. He was a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed going to swap meets and car shows, as well as owning a few classics of his own. Most of all, he loved spending time with his pride and joy, his grandchildren. He was loved by so many people, knew everyone, and everyone was a friend.

He is survived by his children, Max (Cindy) Holtz Jr., Melinda (Gabriel) Holzmiller and Zachary Holtz; siblings, Dan (Kathy) Holtz, Marlene (Doug) Duffield, and Deborah (Thomas) Ranney; a brother-in-law, Fred Smith; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John T. Holtz Jr.; and a sister, Nena Smith.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Private graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Our Lady of the Mountains Cemetery in Mt. Savage, Maryland.
