With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maxima Olivo Ramirez, who went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026, at the age of 87. A longtime resident of Thornton, Texas, Maxima cherished her family, friends, community, and faith above all else. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord shined through her life and service.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill C. Ramirez, and her son, Bill Ramirez, Jr.

Maxima is survived by her six children: Carmen Flores and her husband Bobby; Joe Ramirez and his wife Dorothy; Juanita Olivo; Maryann Estrada and her husband Vincent; Shirley Garcia and her husband Michael; and John Ramirez. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 33 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.

She lovingly raised four of her grandchildren: her oldest grandson, Gabriel Ramirez, along with Ramona Catherine Ramirez, Bill Ramirez III, and Manuel Emilio Ramirez, caring for them with unwavering devotion and unconditional love.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Juanita Ramirez and Aurelia Retta.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Groesbeck Funeral Home.  Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Roque Flores, Gabriel Ramirez, Eric Estrada, Manuel Ramirez, Nathan Estrada, Ayden Ramirez, Robert Ramirez and Jonathan Hernandez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Estrada, Bill Ramirez III, John Ramirez, Jr., Michael Garcia and Tony Ramirez.

All who knew and loved Maxima Olivo Ramirez are welcome to attend and celebrate her life, legacy, and the love she poured into so many.
