Maxine Waldron Howell

So many thoughts and prayers go out to all of you as you mourn the loss of this very special mom & grandma. Probably could count on one hand the number of times I had the pleasure of spending time with Aunt Max but she had a way of making you feel like you had known her all your life. Carry on her legacy of loving & caring.

We Liked the same books, large print of course, and we traded so many books.
I still wear the Angel pin that she gave me and always will.

I wish I could be there playing the funeral. She was such a sweet and funny lady. I will never forget her bringing a little transistor radio to choir rehearsal one night in October, in the old auditorium to listen to the WORLD SERIES games. Wonderful woman. Now she is reunited with Milo, and my parents! Sweet Maxine!

Every Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas until my thirties i spent at the table of this wonderful, loving and giving woman and her husband Milo. My family and hers were a blended family. There is nothing I cherish more than the memories I have of those holidays. When I was small and would get sick at school someone would take me to Maxine's house where I would take a nap listening to mocking birds. I have always thought of her when I hear them. I became a Catholic because she gently pushed me in that direction. I have never looked back. I have way to many memories of her to put down here. I loved her as I would have loved my own mother. In a way she was my other mother.
I'll see you all up there one day Max. I miss you and love you so much.

Debbie I met your mom only a few times and it was very clear she was a good woman. She reminded me of my mom. She has now enter into new life!

Debbie, I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss. Though I haven't seen your mom in many years, she and your dad were a riot and I always enjoyed seeing them. My prayers are with you all.
