Maxine Lois Krull, 97, of Clarksville, passed away September 19, 2025, at the Waverly Health center. Maxine was born August 24, 1928, in rural Butler County, Iowa to J. Henry and Grace (Harms) Maifeld. She graduated from Dumont High School in 1946.

On September 24, 1948, Maxine was united in marriage to Gerald Krull in Dumont, Iowa. Maxine and Gerald farmed in the Clarksville and Allison area until 1959, when they moved their family to Dike. While in Dike they owned and operated the Home Cafe and Krull Hardware. In 1966 they moved their business and family to Clarksville when Gerald purchased Clarksville Hardware. They later closed the hardware store, but Gerald continued in the plumbing and heating business until retirement in 1997. Maxine and Gerald then moved to Laurie, Missouri, for 10 years, returning to Clarksville in 2007.

Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards and other table games, cooking, including making your favorite meals and baking and decorating cakes. She and Gerald spent several winters with friends in Texas. Her family and friends will miss her hugs and all the "Maxine-isms". She would often surprise us with her off the cuff humor!

Maxine is survived by her four children: Carey (Joy) Krull of Brooklyn, IA, Geri (Dave) Percival, of Fort Collins, CO., Teri (Kurt) Oltman of Sunrise Beach, MO. and Joel (Jill) Krull of Smithville, MO. Seven grandchildren; Angela (Mike) Mowery of Ames, Lynde (Ebe) Boettcher of Cedar Rapids, Chris (Jennifer) Krull of St. Louis Park, MN., John (Hunter) Covington-Krull of Smithville, MO., Jacob (Jennifer) Oltman of Laurie, MO, Jackson Krull (Kelsey Mothershead) of Laurie, MO. and Luke Oltman of Sunrise Beach, MO. Four great grandchildren; Sage Boettcher, Uwen Boettcher, Bernadette Krull, and Jane Oltman.
Sister, Kathaleen Stoppelmoor, sister-in-law, Deloris Maifeld and brother-in-law, Jim Turner.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gerald; her parents, in-laws Carl and Jennie Krull, brothers Eugene and Orville Maifeld, sisters-in-law Sharon Turner and Malica Maifeld, and brother-in-law Vern Stoppelmoor.

Celebration of life for Maxine will be held at the Clarksville Amvets Community Center in Clarksville on Saturday September 27, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00PM. Memorial contributions may be designated to Clarksville United Methodist church or Clarksville Skilled Nursing.
