Maxine Joann Miller, 88 of Gaylord, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Woodland Acres Assisted Living. Born on May 21, 1935, in Manton, she was the daughter of Orlo and Dorothy (Wardell) Brown.
On March 10, 1950, she married the love of her life, Eugene. They created a beautiful life together, raising three sons. Maxine enjoyed quilting, going to garage sales and spending time with her family. For over four years, Maxine lived at Woodland Acres where the residents and nursing staff all called her Grandma.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Miller of Grayling and Larry Miller of Gaylord; eight loving grandchildren; many special great-grandchildren; and her brother, Fred Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene in 2017; her son, David in 2018; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Miller in 2022.
Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Pastor Scott Distler will officiate. Interment will take place at Hayes Township Cemetery in Gaylord.
