Maxine Ramey, born on November 15, 1926, graced this world with her vibrant spirit for nearly a century before she departed on November 14, 2024. In her time with us, Maxine embodied the essence of a big sister—always nurturing, loving, and selflessly helpful. She had a way of brightening the lives of those around her, her spirit radiant and inspiring.
Known affectionately as Best Aunt T, Maxine cherished her role in the family, offering wisdom and warmth that made every gathering special. Those fortunate enough to know her recognize her as a beautiful spirit, a beacon of light in a world that often felt overshadowed by darkness. Her laughter was infectious, her kindness undeniable.
Maxine found joy in the simplest of pleasures. An avid Bible reader, she drew strength and solace from her faith, finding a deeper understanding of life and love within its pages. Her love for exploration led her to seek new culinary experiences; no restaurant was too obscure for her adventurous palate. With friends and family, she savored each moment, celebrating not just food but the bonds that tied them together. She was a member of the East Side YMCA Silver Sneaker who helped with exercising and staying in shape.
As we remember Maxine, we hold close the memories woven from her kindness, her engaging spirit, and her unwavering generosity. She leaves behind an indelible mark on our hearts—a legacy of love, laughter, and the spirit of adventure she brought to every day. Her memory will forever echo in the stories we share and the love we carry forth.
