ROTHARMEL, Maxine E.
'Max'
Went to be with the Lord on 2/16/2013. Maxine was born in Waukee, Iowa on February 26, 1921. She graduated from High School in 1938 and attended American Business College. She moved to California in 1947 and met the love of her life Lawrence and married him on October 16, 1948. They raised their family in Salinas, moving to Sacramento in 1975.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence H. Rotharmel. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Tingley (Bill) of Bakersfield, Joanne Lewis (Sam) of Chino, and a son, Tom Rotharmel of Sacramento. She will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren, Charlie and John Tingley, Kellie Bazan and Allison Lupercio (Steve); three great-grand children, Elias, Zakeriah and Kayte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Maxine loved to travel, dance, play golf, and going on excursions around the world with her husband and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand mother and great grand mother who was always there for her family. Mom, you will always be in our hearts, we love you.

Rosary at Naumans on Monday, March 4 @ 6pm. Mass on Tuesday, March 5 at St. Anthony @ 11am. Graveside Service at Hillcrest in Bakersfield on Thursday, March 7 @ 11am.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her name to the Elks National Fund, c/o Sacramento Elks Lodge No. 6, 6446 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento, CA. 95831.
