Maxine Schopfer Obituary
Maxine was a stay-at-home mom. She raised her sons and was also a caregiver for her mom, dad and stepdad. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and keeping a nice, loving home for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Alford and Zelda (Vinyard) James; her husband, Werner E. Schopfer, Jr.; her son, Manuel Lizarde III; a brother, William "Billy" James; two sisters: Seville Conner and Shirley Turner; and stepfather, Albert Rodrigues.
She is survived by a son, Werner E. (Jaime) Schopfer III; two grandchildren: Jerralyn (John) Bailey and Jacquelyn (Andrew) Pettit; two great-grandchildren: Adrianna Pettit and Noah Bailey; and a brother, Vernon (Cristina) Rodrigues.
Maxine's wishes were to be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held.

Rest in peace, beautiful and kind Maxine. I will never forget your generosity and care. You always have had a place in my heart as an example to aspire to. Your care in taking care of your loved ones and your home was so special. May you be at peace with your loved ones and your kitty, Snookie. God bless you.
