May Lee, age 63, passed away on September 3, 2025 after battling advanced cancer. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, two kids, two of her siblings, and both parents.
May was born in Sacramento, CA, where she resided her whole life. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Sacramento State College. While attending school and during her other jobs, she worked at her family’s restaurant. She worked for the Sacramento School District briefly, and eventually worked for the State of California for over 35 years. She was most proud of receiving a recommendation letter from Governor Brown, recognizing her exceptional work and dedication to the Governor’s office that commended her work and support for the Governor’s office.
May had many talents and passions, including gardening—where she lovingly tended to her succulents, indoor plants, and vegetables—as well as knitting and crocheting. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her three grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
