May Raymond Obituary
She was born on March 28, 1936 in Middlefield, Ohio, the daughter of William and Hazel (Chubb) Donaldson. She was a 1954 graduate of Kinsman High School and a proud 1959 graduate of Kent State University, where she spent one year as a cadet teacher before graduation.
May taught in several local school districts including Jefferson, Grand Valley, Maplewood and Pymatuning Valley. She loved teaching and working with children in the classroom and later as a 4-H advisor. She also owned and operated Glenn-Ray Farm alongside her husband, Glenn.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glenn, and two daughters, Carlotta (John) Sheets of Cortland and Nerissa (Michael) Roscoe of Gustavus township; two grandchildren, Tatum (Justin) Somerville and Preston Sheets; and one brother, Lee (Mary Ann) Donaldson of Williamsfield. She is preceded in death by an infant son; her parents, two sisters, Grace Motil and Rose Donaldson, and one brother, Paul Donaldson.
Calling hours will be on Monday, January 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kinsman United Methodist Church, PO Box 218, Kinsman,OH 44428 or to the Kinsman Public Library, PO Box 166, Kinsman,OH 44428. Dear Uncle Glenn, Carlotta, Nerissa and families, we were so sad to hear of Aunt May's passing. There are so many fond memories of sitting at her kitchen table, talking and eating.
