Mayola was born on May 18, 1935, in Clay County, Alabama, to the late Samuel and Mayo Phillips Lambert. She attended school in Millerville, Alabama, and in 1954 married her husband. Together, they made North Augusta, SC, their home for 35 years. After her husband's retirement from DuPont, they moved back to Alabama for 18 years before returning to North Augusta, SC, in 2004.
Mayola worked for over 20 years as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Lily Cups. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lottie Ruth Dorby, and her brother, James Thomas Ford.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her caretaker and friend, David Brown; her son, James Michael Turner; two grandchildren, Christy and Justin Turner; four nieces; and one nephew.

Mrs. Turner was my next Door Neighbor for almost 20 years. I will miss her and "Mr. Pete, " as she used to call him. Now they are together again! My sincere condolences to the Family.

Ms. Turner held a special place in my heart. She loved spending time with David as he would always bring her to appointments. She loved Pete and would frequently talk about him at her doctor visits. I smile knowing she is finally at peace with him.
