Mr. Walter McCoy Tibbitt age 85, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center South.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Two o’clock pm at the Pleasant Hill #1 Baptist Church with Bro. Adam Fielder and Bro. Bruce Campbell officiating. He will lie-in-state from 1:00 pm until service time at the church. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. A visitation will be on Sunday evening, February 9, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Tibbitt was born in Alabama on December 25, 1939, he and his wife were blessed with 66 years of marriage. Mr. Tibbitt was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church # 1. He was loved and respected greatly by the community in which they lived.
Mr. Tibbitt is survived by his loving wife Delores Fielder Tibbitt of Boaz, Daughter & Son-in-Law: Amanda & Allen Robertson of Boaz, Chosen Son: Keith & Judy Roche`, Granddaughters: Hannah (Kenny) Clark of Boaz and Brooke (Luke) Nelson of Iowa, Great Grandchildren: Luke Peppers, Conner Clark, Sophie Clark, Haleigh Brooke Clark, Hadley Nelson and Braeden Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents: Auby & Brady Tibbitt, Brother: Billy (Joann) Tibbitt, and Hulon (Inez) Tibbitt.
The pallbearers will be Carlos Fielder, Wesley Fielder, Mike Fielder, Craig Waldrep, Roper Thomes, and Michael Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Kinney, Richard Lee, Bobby Wright, Philip Gilbreath, Doyle Ross, and Bro. Kevin Ratcliff
