Megan Nichelle Hall

Megan Nichelle Hall, Megan by family and friends, departed this transitory world and joined her loving family members in Heaven at the feet of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 22, 2026 after a lengthy battle with type A flu and double pneumonia.

Megan was born on September 19, 1985 at Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama. She is the only child born to Barry and Paula Maddux and grew up just outside of Valley on U.S. Highway 29.

Megan graduated from Valley High School in Valley Alabama, Class of 2003. She received a Degree in Computer Sciences from Southern Union.

Megan met the love of her life, even though she did not know it at the time, Jonathan Mark Hall, in 1988, at the young age of three, they were classmates at Fairfax Methodist Church's preschool program. In 2007 while Mark was home on leave from overseas, they got together and started dating. This one date sparked a love connection and on April 13, 2008 they were married at Valley First Church of the Nazarene.

Megan was an avid writer and published a children's book. She studied art with her aunts Ruth Hansen and Gail Dyess in her younger years. Her passion for the arts lead her to dabble in many different avenues of the arts from canvas painting, pencil art etc., to fingernail painting. Her Halloween art was shown in an Art Gallery Show in Hogansville Georgia in October, 2023.

Megan was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charlie E. Maddux and Gracie M. Maddux, Weyman Davis and Janelle Davis.

She is survived by her husband of almost 18 years: Jonathan Mark Hall; her father and mother: Barry Maddux and Paula Maddux; father and mother in-law: John J Hall III and Cerethia A. Hall; and numerous extended family members.
