Megan lived life fully and passionately, and everyone she met and befriended was touched by her light and joy. After two years of fiercely fighting for her life, she surrendered to the love and care of her family and friends. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by so many loving and supportive close family members, dear friends and co-workers. Too soon, this came too soon.
Megan was raised in a little seaside town on the central coast of California. That may seem idyllic, but Megan wanted to see and experience more of the country. She immersed herself in places like New Orleans, Tennessee, and Indianapolis, where she met Jason, the love of her life. They shared the joy of motorcycling, social community, and music, music, music. Jason’s family are long-time blue grass musicians, and Megan had more of a contemporary rock background. Together with friends they formed an infectiously playful blues/rock band called Kerpow! Megan, of course, being the exciting out-going person she was, became the front singer and ukelele player. Unforgettable!
Megan was a highly capable leader, teacher, organizer, and mentor. She had a variety of vocations, including early childhood education, but her last occupation managing a chiropractic office was her favorite. She enjoyed the comradery with her co-workers and the delightful interactions with their many clients. The family is deeply grateful for the support from so many of these wonderful folks.
Megan is survived by her husband, Jason Strohm, and the many wonderful members of the Strohm family who embraced Megan as their own. By her mother, JP Davis, and her sister, Amy Stone, who also live in Indianapolis and the extended Davis family. By her father, Terry Stone, and the many Stone/Stein family members residing mostly on the west coast from San Diego to Alaska, plus a few inlanders in the south west.
The Family will have a Celebration of Life later in the spring – time and location TBD.
