It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking loss of Megan Ann Thielman, of Southington. From the day Megan was born, throughout her 39 years with us, and until the moment she went to be with The Lord on November 7, 2025 – Megan filled our hearts with laughter, warmth, and JOY.
Megan was the daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who could make us laugh until we cried! She embraced the many nicknames we gave her over the years: Min, Min Min, Grace, Auntie Megs, Meg, and, of course, the famously drawn-out mom-version, "Maaaaayggannn" – the one she faithfully recognized by rolling her eyes and shaking her head, which made us chuckle. Without a doubt, the name she embraced the most was "Mama."
Family was everything to Meg. Her son, Kendall, was the light of her life. She loved being his mom and was so grateful for every moment with him. Kendall would beam with pride as Megan's niece and nephews would tell everyone, "Auntie Megs is the cool aunt!" Truth be told, Meg was everyone's favorite, and she never hesitated to remind you of that. Meg was the one who made everything fun and made others feel special. Her love was constant, unconditional, and deeply felt. To know Megan was to be loved by her.
The Lord's light shone brightly through Megan. She found joy in bringing joy to others, and her compassion and generous heart were her gifts of the Holy Spirit. From a young age, Megan lived a life of service – as she participated in mission trips, volunteering her time to give back to communities in need. She excelled in her professional roles in hospitality, where her strong communication skills and likability enabled her to form deep connections with people. Megan had a grateful heart and appreciated others. She was the best listener to anyone who reached out, always putting her own struggles aside and humbly keeping the focus on their needs, showing validation and non-judgment. That is who Megan was — generous, loving, compassionate, kind, and full of light-hearted joy. And that is how she will live on in our hearts, forever and always.
Megan will be lovingly remembered by her pride and joy, her son, Kendall; her parents, Frank and Sally Thielman; her sister, Jessica Lagassey and her husband, Keith, along with their children, Justin, Matthew, Keith, Olivia, and Nathan; her sister, Kati Valenti and her husband, Martin, and their children, Dylan and Luca; and many adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Frank Thielman, Sr. and Stanlene Mellows and Salvatore and Nancy Guarino and her uncle, Jim Thielman.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Megan’s memory may be made to the “Kendall Daniel Sciola College Fund” at Webster Bank, 132 Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
