COLUMBIA – Melanie D. Nash, 60, of Columbia, died on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., after several weeks of declining health.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1962, a daughter to Edward and Shirley (Perdum) Nash and was raised in East Colebrook.
Melanie enjoyed being outdoors and spent much time in it. She loved being outside with her dog, Charlie. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, drawing, and making comic strips. One of Mel's favorite things was to go camping and spend time with her children and grandchildren, all of whom adored.
She is survived by her three children, Tanya Rancloes of Clarksville, Corey Rancloes (Amy Crawford) of Columbia, and Nathan Rancloes of Salisbury, N.H.; her mother, Shirley Nash of Colebrook; three siblings, Susan Nash, Scott (Helen) Nash of Colebrook, and Chris (Karen) Nash of Concord, N.H.; five grandchildren, Tylor Rancloes, Victoria Elliott, Michael Parks, Alexander Brooks, and Alexis Rancloes; and a great-granddaughter, Esmae Rancloes.
Melanie is predeceased by her father, Edward Nash, in 2004.
There are no public calling hours. A graveside interment service will be held at the Stewartstown Hollow Cemetery in the spring of 2023, of which notice will be given.
